Housing and homelessness

It is hard to believe that just 12 months ago, we gathered with our friends from across the community, government and corporate sectors to launch Ask Izzy. Let's take a look back at the last year.

Picture this. Today is the day you suddenly find yourself homeless. But you can’t, right? Nobody can. Pete Burns explains how easily it can happen, and why Telstra’s providing of unmetered access to Ask Izzy is so important.

iSelect, an Australian insurance, utilities and personal finance company, has donated $15 000 to provide 1000 Ask Izzy mobile charge cards to people who are homeless.

Phone credit and battery power will no longer stand in the way of people who are homeless trying to find help via Ask Izzy, the A to Z of homeless help.

Telstra is now providing free access to Ask Izzy, the mobile website that connects people who are homeless or at risk to over 350 000 services nation-wide.

With a new round of Google Impact Challenge winners just announced, our CEO David Spriggs reflects on how our own win for Ask Izzy has helped make a real difference to the lives of people experiencing homelessness.

A new open data platform was announced today that will help track service demand from people who are homeless or at risk, using data from Ask Izzy.

Sydney Homeless Connect gave us an opportunity to see just how much of an impact Ask Izzy can make in a person's life.

Ask Izzy has received two major awards in one week, winning a merit at The Victorian iAwards and gold at the Design100 Melbourne Design Awards.

This week we’re at the WACOSS Conference in Perth, talking to other not-for-profit organisations about Service Seeker, Ask Izzy, SRS Client and Case Management and lots more.
