Infoxchange is committed to supporting gender equality and diversity in our organisation, and that’s why we’ve created the Tech Ready program! A program dedicated to supporting people from all backgrounds and experiences to get ready, revive or reboot their career in tech.
Our program is designed to support people who have taken a career break due to caring responsibilities or other reasons, are under-employed, want to change careers or are just getting started and want a supportive and flexible environment in which they can grow and thrive in their career.
We particularly encourage women and others who have traditionally faced barriers to a career in technology to apply.
We will provide you with...
Flexible and hybrid work arrangements (part time, full time, work from home and office).
A supportive and inclusive environment where you are supported to develop your skills and build your confidence.
A training program designed to help you gain the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in the tech industry (dependent on your individual needs).
A buddy to support you and a structured 3-month individualised plan to make your induction to Infoxchange successful.
A range of policies that support working families in the workplace such as 20 weeks paid parental leave*, no eligibility waiting periods for parental leave, paid superannuation for entire parental leave (paid and unpaid period) up to 24 months.
*Infoxchange will pay the 'gap' between the government Paid Parental Leave (PPL) and the Primary Carers' base salary.
We designed our three-phase Tech Ready program to meet you where you are at, regardless of your stage of life or career
READY
For people with limited or no experience
Join the program to complete a 16-week Certificate IV in Information Technology (Programming) at Kangan Institute (Melbourne), where you’ll get the skills needed to get ready to start your career in tech. Following completion, you’ll be supported to transition into the next stage – Revive.
Training is delivered four days a week in a hybrid setting (face-to-face and online).
Who can apply: People who are currently not in full-time training or employment. We will prioritise people experiencing barriers, social disadvantage, or underrepresented groups.
Cost: Free – course fees are funded by Infoxchange.

REVIVE
For people with some technical skills (basic/entry-level skills)
Full-time or part-time paid traineeship or entry-level role (depending on role availability and applicant needs). You’ll be combining paid work at Infoxchange with on-the-job training or completing a traineeship where you’ll undertake a nationally recognised qualification.
Full-time or part-time in a hybrid setting for the duration of the program.
Who can apply: People with entry-level technical skills equivalent to entry-level/junior level.
Remuneration: Training costs are funded or co-funded by Infoxchange. Your remuneration will be according to your role, level and experience.
REBOOT
For people with previous experience or transferable skills.
Designed for people who are returning to the workforce after taking a break for whatever reason. You will be supported with a structured plan to transition back into the workforce customised to your needs.
Full-time or part-time in a hybrid setting for the duration of the program.
Who can apply: People who are returning to the workforce after a break and have relevant transferable skills.
Remuneration: Your remuneration will be according to your role, level and experience.
