
Technology for Social Justice Conference 2025: A Critical Moment for the Sector
Addressing the Digital Divide, AI Ethics, and the Future of Technology for the Not–for-profit sector

MEL – 27 FEB – Infoxchange has announced that the Technology for Social Justice Conference 2025 is here, returning at a crucial moment for the not-for-profit (NFP) sector.
Celebrating its 21st anniversary, this year’s event brings together top leaders from big tech, philanthropy, government, and the NFP sector to discuss and tackle some of the most pressing challenges and opportunities in the digital landscape.
Taking place from 7–9 May 2025 at the Telstra Customer Insight Centre, the conference will explore and educate on how technology is being leveraged to drive social impact, improve digital inclusion, and strengthen community resilience.
The urgent need for sector-wide collaboration

As Generative AI, cyber security, and data-driven decision-making have become more essential for sustainable service delivery, NFPs must ensure they are equipped with the right tools, knowledge, and ethical frameworks.
This year’s event will focus on practical solutions, real-world case studies, and sector-wide collaboration to address:

Three days of critical discussions and workshops
Day One (7 May): Conversations on the future of technology in the sector
A full day of keynotes, panels, case studies and lighting talks discussing Gen AI, data, cyber security, digital inclusion, digital transformation, and the intersection of technology and social justice — what’s working, what’s not, and where the sector needs to go next.
Day Two (8 May) : Practical workshops on the sector’s critical technology topics
Designed in response to sector needs, these workshops will provide practical, actionable strategies, covering:
- AI for boosting reach and impact
- Cybersecurity essentials for NFPs
- Developing ethical AI and data strategies
- Funding tech innovation in a resource-strapped sector
- Enhancing digital accessibility and inclusivity
